Persiapan Pendirian Sebuah Warnet

Apa saja yang perlu disiapkan untuk mendirikan sebuah Warnet? Untuk sampai benar-benar layak dan siap beroperasi, tentu perlu konsultasi serius dengan mereka yang berpengalaman (atau, barangkali sudah ada profesi “konsultan Warnet”?). Di tulisan ini hanya beberapa pertimbangan yang saya amati di lapangan dan dengar dari salah satu teman pengelola Warnet.

1. Pemilihan lokasi
Sebagian pihak menyebut bahwa berlokasi dekat dengan kegiatan mahasiswa menguntungkan bagi Warnet. Contoh: di Simpang Dago, Bandung, yang tidak jauh dari kampus ITB, ada sebuah Warnet besar yang juga punya cabang di Jatinangor, lingkungan kampus ramai di daerah Bandung Timur. Begitu pula di seputar Jalan Tamansari, Bandung, yang dekat dengan kampus Unisba dan Unpas. Demikian halnya Warnet yang konon terbesar di Kota Jember berada di daerah Tegalboto, kawasan kampus Universitas Negeri Jember.
Kendati demikian, pengakuan berbeda dari teman yang saya sebut sebagai pengelola Warnet di atas: lokasi Warnetnya justru bukan di lingkungan mahasiswa namun salah satu keuntungan menurutnya, “Tidak ada musim sepi karena liburan.” Sepengetahuan saya memang ada beberapa kampus yang menjadi sepi pada saat liburan karena ditinggal banyak mahasiswa pulang kampung atau berlibur. Namun ada pengecualian: kampus yang memiliki banyak mahasiswa dari kota yang jauh relatif tidak menjadi sepi terlalu drastis pada masa liburan — faktor ongkos pulang kampung.

Alternatif pengunjung lain adalah kelompok pekerja. Sudah mulai ada orang-orang yang mendatangi Warnet untuk bekerja secara remote. Saya baru mencoba cara seperti ini untuk pekerjaan pribadi, mengurus situs Web. Salah satu tulisan di situs ini saya ketik di sebuah Warnet di Jember (menggunakan Notepad di Windows XP, duh!). Pun waktu harus mengunjungi Medan selama tiga hari, saya pilih Warnet yang dekat dengan hotel untuk tetap bersentuhan dengan “jejaring sosial” dunia maya yang merupakan bagian dari pekerjaan pribadi.

2. Jumlah komputer
Investasi komputer dalam jumlah banyak adalah faktor penting berikutnya. Selain tingkat utilisasi pemakaian koneksi Internet lebih tinggi, jumlah komputer yang memadai akan menghindarkan pengunjung dari menunggu terlalu lama atau meninggalkan Warnet. Saya pernah mengunjungi Warnet dengan tiga ruangan penuh pengunjung: satu untuk akses Internet, satu penuh dengan maniak pemain online game, dan satu lagi gabungan antara permainan online dan pengetikan skripsi. Pada saat saya pergi dari lokasi, pukul tiga lebih dini hari, ketiga ruangan tersebut masih terang-benderang dan pengunjung asyik melototi komputer sebagian dengan telinga tertutup headphone.

Konsekuensi jumlah komputer ini diikuti oleh investasi yang lebih besar untuk ongkos koneksi Internet. Salah satu Warnet besar di Bandung adalah pelanggan peringkat atas di PJI dan berbeda dengan Warnet kecil yang menjual ulang koneksi Internet ke “tetangga sekitarnya”, Warnet besar ini menyedot habis lebar pita koneksi.

Jumlah sekitar 20 buah komputer memadai untuk Warnet yang datang dengan modal memadai, sedangkan jika memang hoki, berawal dengan 40 buah komputer pun pengunjung antri!

Ingin Membuka Usaha Salon Message

Dalam kehidupan wanita, perawatan tubuh sangatlah penting, terutama saya sendiri. Saya sebagai seorang wanita sangat memperhatikan penampilan diri saya sendiri. Berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi saya, membuka usaha salon message sangatlah menggiurkan, melihat jumlah wanita di Indonesia lebih banyak dari pada jumlah laki-lakinya, sehingga memungkinkan mendapatkan keuntungan yang cukup besar.

Memang tidak ada yang bisa memastikan usaha kita akan berhasil atau tidak, tetapi kita dapat mengusakan keberhasilan tersebut, yaitu dengan cara melakukan persiapan usaha yang matang dan melaksanakan strategi pemasaran yang efektif, antara lain:

1. Tempat yang strategis. Pilihlah tempat usaha salon tersebut berada pada area yang ramai, banyak dikunjungi orang, banyak kendaraan lewat dan mudah dijangkau.

2. Perijinan. Izin usaha harus ada agar usaha berjalan lancar. Paling tidak Anda harus "permisi" kepada lingkungan sekitar, seperti RT, RW dan kelurahan. Jika Anda mengurus izin usah sekaligus dengan badan hukumnya di notaris, itu lebih bagus.

3. Modal. Sediakanlah modal yang cukup untuk keperluan sebagai berkut:
1. modal awal membuka usaha (perijinan, inventaris kantor seperti meja, kursi dan peralatan salon kecantikan seperti hairdryer, alat pelurus rambat, dll).
2. modal kerja untuk membayar biaya operasional selama perusahaan belum menghasilkan keuntungan. Biaya operasional antara lain meliputi listrik, telepon, gaji karyawan, kas kecil, dll. Siapkanlah modal kerja minimal 6 s/d 12 bulan, atau jika Anda optimis, bisa disiapkan 3 bulan saja.
3. Modal pembelian bahan kosmetik seperti creambath, shampoo, conditioner, dll. Siapkanlah modal pembelian bahan kosmetik minimal 6 s/d 12 bulan, atau jika Anda optimis, bisa disiapkan 3 bulan saja.

4. Tenaga ahli. usaha salon sangat mengandalkan adanya tenaga ahli, seperti hairstylist dan kapster yang berpengalaman. Jika pelayanan dan keahlian mereka disukai orang, maka semakin ramai pengunjung salon Anda, dan tentunya bisa menjadi pelanggan setia.

5. Sistem pengendalian keuangan, seperti buku transaksi harian, buku laba rugi bulanan, dll. Buatlah sistem pencatatan yang sederhana--tujuannya adalah agar Anda dapat menjalankan usaha dengan tertib.

6. Laksanakan strategi pemasaran yang efektif, antara lain: harga yang kompetitif, penawaran variasi jasa, promosi usaha, dll.

Keberhasilan suatu bisnis bisa dinilai dari beberapa sisi, terutama dari sisi finansial. Karena itu, secara umum, sebuah usaha bisa dinilai berhasil jika mampu mencapai tujuan finansialnya atau tujuan keuangannya, yaitu mendapatkan keuntungan. Namun tujuan keuangan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan ini juga harus realistis, spesifik dan terukur. Artinya penetapan target keuntungan juga harus memperhitungkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, seperti kapasitas usaha, modal, produktifitas kerja dan lain-lain. Tentunya tanpa melupakan azas dengan modal sekecil mungkin mendapatkan untung sebesar-besarnya.

Semakin cepat sebuah usaha mendapatkan keuntungan semakin baik, namun hal ini juga tergantung jenis usahanya. Patokannya adalah keuntungan harus Anda dapatkan sebelum modal kerja dan pembelian bahan kosmetik habis. Jika Anda mempersiapkan modal tersebut untuk 3 bulan ke depan, maka usahakanlah agar salon Anda sudah mendapatkan keuntungan sebelum 3 bulan. Pada umumnya, sebuah usaha usaha dinilai berhasil jika bisa mendapatkan keuntungan setelah setahun berjalan.

Memulai Bisnis Waralaba dari Skala Kecil

Dalam gambaran awal saya, yang namanya bisnis waralaba itu pasti perlu modal yang sangat besar. Menurut seorang teman pemilik toko yang kebetulan tetangga saya dulu, dan dia pernah mencari informasi lebih detail tentang waralaba ternyata diperlukan sekitar 300 juta rupiah sebagai modal awal. wow, bukan kelas pebisnis internet pemula seperti saya kalau demikian. Mungkin suatu hari nanti.

Memulai bisnis baru bagi sebagian orang apalagi masih pemula adalah sesuatu yang berat dan resiko gagal selalu ada. Dilain sisi, untuk memulai usaha waralaba juga tidak diperlukan modal bisnis. Beruntunglah ada alternatif lain, yaitu menjadi distributor MLM misalnya.

Banyak orang memandang negatif strategi marketing MLM. Padahal sebenarnya bisnis ini hanyalah salah satu bentuk strategi marketing dengan sistem waralaba, tetapi dalam skala kecil dan dengan modal yang kecil pula. Masing-masing anggota merupakan distributor resmi yang terikat pada kewajiban tertentu dan juga memiliki kebebasan tertentu sesuai dengan aturan main perusahaan induk. Sama halnya dengan retailer waralaba besar seperti KFC, Mc Donald, atau binatu Laundrette. Anda setuju?

Bisnis Sampingan Membudidayakan Lebah Madu

Keunggulan khasiat madu memang tak perlu disangsikan lagi. Sebagai makanan bergizi tinggi, madu bahkan sudah diketahui sejak zaman Mesir ataupun Yunani Kuno. Di Zaman Mesir Kuno, larutan madu juga dimanfaatkan sebagai zat pengawet daging binatang buruan dan mumi raja-raja Firaun. Madu juga diyakini dapat memperpanjang umur orang yang mengonsumsinya. Oleh sebab itu tak heran jika madu bernilai ekonomi tinggi.

Selain madu, lebah masih menghasilkan royal jelly, bee pollen, lilin, dan propolis. Propolis yang mengandung antibiotik adalah getah pohon yang ikut diambil lebah. Menurut penelitian, antibiotik jenis ini kualitasnya sama seperti yang terkandung dalam penisilin. Harganya pun tergolong mahal.

Hanya itu? Rupanya tidak. Ternyata lebahnya pun bisa menghasilkan fulus. Selain dijual di dalam negeri, ternyata peluang ekspornya pun lumayan besar. Dan berbisnis lebah madu memang sedang ngetren di sejumlah sentra peternakan lebah di negeri ini. Salah satunya seperti yang sudah dilakukan Pusat Perlebahan (Apiari) Pramuka yang bercokol di Bumi Perkemahan Cibubur, Jakarta Timur.

Selain ”diperah” madunya, ternyata lebah masih menyimpan banyak manfaat lain. Di Cina dan Jepang, misalnya, sengatannya bisa untuk pengobatan berbagai penyakit. Bahkan di Cina, lebah juga dimanfaatkan oleh perkebunan skala besar untuk penyerbukan berbagai tanaman produksi seperti buah-buahan. Penyerbukan ala lebah ini ternyata dinilai lebih berhasil dibandingkan dengan tangan manusia.

Namun, menurut Ir. Indra Gunawan, instruktur pelatihan ternak lebah madu di Apiari Pramuka, maraknya permintaan lebah di pasar domestik itu karena produksi madu yang jauh di bawah permintaan. Menurut data tahun 2002, kebutuhan madu nasional mencapai 150 ribu ton per tahun. Sementara itu skala produksinya hanya 40 ribu ton.

Ada beragam jenis lebah madu yang layak dibudidayakan. Di antaranya lebah dari jenis lebah hutan (Apis dorsata), lebah lokal (Apis cerana), dan lebah unggul (Apis mellifera). Lebah unggul, sesuai namanya, yang paling disenangi pasar. Jenis ini lebih produktif dibandingkan lebah lokal, juga lebih jinak. Racun pada sengatnya sangat cocok untuk pengobatan berbagai penyakit. Lebah yang dibudidayakan oleh kebanyakan peternak di dunia ini awalnya berasal dari daratan Eropa.

Dari penangkarannya di Cibubur, setiap bulan dihasilkan 200 hingga 300 kotak (setiap kotak berukuran 50 x 40 x 20 sentimeter) koloni lebah unggul yang siap dikirim ke seluruh Indonesia. Jika setiap kotak koloni lebah berharga Rp 100 ribu, dalam sebulan Apiari Pramuka bisa menangguk omzet Rp 20 juta-Rp 30 juta. Hasil sampingan yang tergolong lumayan. Itu bahkan jika dibandingkan pendapatan dari memanen madu, setiap tahun Apiari Pramuka hanya bisa memetik sekitar Rp 192 juta.

Permintaan impor dari sejumlah negara pun sebenarnya mengalir, di antaranya dari Arab Saudi dan Australia. Namun, ya itu tadi, pusat peternakan ini lebih memprioritaskan pasokan di dalam negeri. ”Jika masih ada stok, baru kami ekspor,” ujar Indra. Biasanya, untuk setiap 400 kotak dijual US$ 10.000. Lebih mahal memang, karena tarif ini sudah termasuk ongkos pengiriman.

BERUSAHA DI SEKTOR INI TAK PERLU KEAHLIAN KHUSUS
Sebenarnya, banyak cara beternak lebah. Namun, paling sederhana ada dua, yakni sistem menetap dan angon (berpindah). Sistem angon lebih menguntungkan ketimbang yang menetap. Dengan sistem menetap, petani hanya bisa memanen madu sekali setahun. Sedangkan dengan cara angon, lebah bisa dipanen dua kali sebulan. Sekali panen bisa dihasilkan 4 kilogram madu per kotak koloni.

Waktu yang tepat untuk panen lebah berbarengan dengan panen madu. Kecenderungannya karena ketersediaan pakan melimpah. Madu, sebenarnya pula, makanan lebah. Jika produksi madu sedikit, perkembangbiakan lebah pun bisa terganggu.
Dari setiap koloni, lebah yang bisa dipanen hanya 50%-nya, plus seekor ratu lebah. Dalam pengepakan ratu lebah dibuatkan tempat sendiri, semacam kotak kecil yang diisi beberapa lebah pekerja untuk melayaninya.

Kotak pengemasan harus cukup ventilasi udara dan makanannya. Lazimnya, makanan buat lebah-lebah yang dikemas adalah gula pasir dan madu. Dengan cara seperti itu lebah bisa tetap tenang dan tahan di dalam kotaknya selama 2-4 hari. Untuk pengiriman lebah seyogianya dilakukan pada malam hari. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menghindari panas sinar matahari yang bisa membuat lebah jadi panik.

Sebenarnya, unsur terpenting dalam membudidayakan koloni lebah adalah ratu lebah. Oleh sebab itu harganya pun paling mahal, per ekor Rp 100 ribu, belum termasuk peralatan yang digunakan. Selain berfungsi sebagai pemersatu koloni (per koloni bisa mencapai 800 ribu ekor lebah pekerja), dari ratu lebah juga dihasilkan larva-larva bakalan lebah.

Ada dua cara menangkar ratu lebah, yakni melalui inseminasi buatan atau dengan cara grafting. Inseminasi buatan tergolong mahal, meski ratu lebah yang dihasilkan berkualitas tinggi. Sedangkan cara grafting lebih ekonomis.

Awalnya dari sejumlah larva yang diletakkan di mangkok-mangkok dalam sarang lebah. Bagi lebah pekerja, mangkok ini akan dikira sarang ratu. Mereka akan merawat dan memberi makanan. Setelah dua bulan, larva-larva tadi akan menjelma menjadi ratu lebah.

Hal lain yang harus diperhatikan adalah lingkungan di sekitar lokasi penangkaran. Idealnya, lokasi ini bagian dari lahan perkebunan atau taman bunga. Pakan yang paling digemari lebah adalah sari bunga dari jenis pohon berkayu seperti pohon buah-buahan, kalianda, karet, atau kapuk. Karena, jenis pohon seperti ini akan berbunga banyak dan dalam waktu yang relatif lama.

Lahan potensial untuk beternak lebah di Indonesia terutama di luar Pulau Jawa yang masih kaya akan hutan dan perkebunan. Bagi mereka yang berminat, tak perlu modal besar untuk membeli lahan perkebunan, tapi cukup menyewanya. Biaya sewa lahan untuk 10 kotak koloni umumnya Rp 2 juta per tahun.

Selain itu, peternak juga harus waspada terhadap serangan kutu varroa yang sering menyerang koloni lebah. Hama jenis ini sangat gemar melahap kepompong lebah. Artikel Kasus Pelanggaran Etika dalam Berbisnis

Jakarta, Raksasa perangkat jaringan mobile Ericsson melayangkan gugatan terhadap pembuat ponsel Samsung Electronics. Gugatan ini diajukan karena Samsung dituduh telah melanggar hak paten.

“Kami sudah melayangkan gugatan hukum kepada Samsung terkait pelanggaran hak paten di Amerika Serikat, Inggris, Jerman dan Belanda,” kata Ase Lindskog, juru bicara Ericsson.
Menurut Lindskog, pihaknya telah melakukan negosiasi besar dengan Samsung terkait pembaharuan lisensi. “Kesepakatan mereka dengan kami telah berakhir sejak 31 Desember tahun lalu,” ujarnya lagi.

Masalahnya, Samsung masih memakai paten ponsel yang tidak berlisensi lagi. Ketika dikonfirmasi, juru bicara Samsung di Seoul masih enggan mengomentari masalah ini.

Entah iri atau ingin menjatuhkan rival, yang jelas kasus pelanggaran paten dan perlawanan legal lainnya sudah sering bahkan biasa terjadi di sektor teknologi. Bisa jadi karena perusahaan telah menghabiskan banyak dana untuk penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D).

Selain Samsung, Ericsson juga pernah menggugat Qualcomm. Tahun lalu Ericsson pernah mengadu ke Uni Eropa karena Qualcomm dituduh telah ‘mencekik’ kompetisi di pasar chip ponsel.

Kembali ke gugatan terhadap Samsung. Lindskog mengatakan beberapa paten teknologi yang digugat Ericsson kepada Samsung adalah GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) dan EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution).

“Ini adalah tindakan yang patut disayangkan, tetapi kami harus melindungi para pemegang saham dan investor kami karena kami sudah menginvestasikan banyak dana di R&D selama bertahun-tahun,” kata Lindskog. Demikian dilansir detikINET dari Reuters, Senin (27/02/2006). (dwn)
